JASPER HOTEL

489 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, VIC
Project: 59 Hotel Rooms
Value: $5 Million
Completion date: June 2006
Construction time: 7 months

Owned and operated by the YWCA, the Jasper Hotel reinvented itself with a complete refurbishment to offer four star boutique accommodation. This four level, 59 room hotel had the requirements of remaining operational throughout the refurbishment and for works to be complete for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Clever use of coloured louvre windows in the bathrooms enhances the feeling of space and movement throughout each room. The project also included upgrading the conference areas and revamping the entrance and cafe to complement the hotel’s new boutique image.
